Chelsea dismantle continues as talks progress for double exit to same UCL club

Chelsea are negotiating the departures of Christian Pulisic and Carney Chukwuemeka to AC Milan, according to reports in Italy.
Work is well underway for Chelsea to reduce their squad size and balance the books this summer. Ideally, they want to offload as many unwanted players as possible by the end of the month because of Financial Fair Play.
Several of their departing players are on their way to Saudi Arabia. N’Golo Kante’s move to Al Ittihad has already been confirmed, while Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly and Hakim Ziyech are also moving to the Middle East.
Not all of the players Chelsea are offloading will end up in the Saudi Professional League, though. Mateo Kovacic will be staying in the Premier League with Manchester City, for example, while Mason Mount is a target for Man Utd.
Meanwhile, Pulisic and Chukwuemeka could get opportunities to continue their careers in Italy. AC Milan have been looking closely at both players in recent weeks.
TEAMtalk revealed earlier this month that Chelsea have made Chukwuemeka available for loan, just one year after buying him from Aston Villa.
Milan soon emerged as contenders to take the midfielder after also looking at his colleague Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Now, Tuttosport has confirmed talks are ongoing between Chelsea and Milan for Chukwuemeka to spend next season on loan in Serie A. The 19-year-old would also have Champions League football on offer.
Chukwuemeka made 15 appearances in his first season with Chelsea, where he remains under a long-term contract until 2028.
Milan want to prise Pulisic away from Chelsea
In addition, Milan are aiming to acquire Pulisic from Chelsea to strengthen out wide. The time seems to be right for the USMNT star to make a change after stagnating over four seasons in the Premier League.
This season, Pulisic only managed to score one goal from 30 appearances in all competitions. Only under contract in west London for another year, his exit would probably have to be a permanent one.
Still only 24 years old, the former Borussia Dortmund ace has time to recover his potential in different surroundings.
Playing in Serie A would be a new experience for both Pulisic and Chukwuemeka, who have only shared a pitch at the same time together on six occasions for their current club. However, they would not be the first players to move from Chelsea to Milan.
Indeed, there has been plenty of business between the two clubs in recent years. Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud are two of the players whose footsteps they would follow in.
Chelsea will be hoping to reach positive conclusions soon in all their negotiations as their summer clearance continues.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have also accepted Arsenal’s latest bid for Kai Havertz.
