'Aura' is expected to have built-in support for ChatGPT, SearchGPT and Operator and could arrive this summer. Credit: Vitor Miranda / Shutterstock For a while now, OpenAI has been rumored to be working to develop its own web browser, with the aim of challenging Google’s dominance in the segment. And that browser will apparently be named “Aura”, according to Bleeping Computer. The browser name was referenced in the code used by ChatGPT. The interface in Aura is said to be reminiscent of ChatGPT — in other words, the focus will be on conversations rather than the traditional clicking of links. Alongside ChatGPT, Aura is expected to offer built-in support for the SearchGPT search engine and the AI agent Operator. The launch of the new browser is expected to take place later this summer, possibly by the end of July.
